How Did You Hear
About Hope For The Warriors®?
“My wonderful friend Jenlene accepted a job with Hope For The Warriors®.”

“Jenlene was a big part of the inspiration to volunteer
at my first Team H4W event, but contributing to the organization’s mission and
vision is what keeps me coming back.”
“There have been a lot of great ones, but the 2011 Marine
Corps Marathon stands out in my mind.
That was my first major event with Hope For The Warriors® and I came
away from it totally inspired: by the Hope For The Warriors® staff, my fellow
volunteers, and the veterans and other athletes who pushed themselves that day
to meet goals some might not have thought were possible.”
What Is Your Favorite
Thing About Volunteering With The Team?
“This may sound selfish, but volunteering with Team Hope
For The Warriors® always makes me feel significant. When I show up for an event, I know that I
will be put to important tasks, and treated as if I’m part of the
organization’s staff. The goal at an
event is always maximizing the experience for the Team members participating,
but I feel like I come away with just as much as they do.”

Honolulu Marathon (as a Team member)
“None yet as my knees heal from the Honolulu Marathon, but if nothing else this year I’d like to do a half marathon or triathlon in the fall.”

“I started running in high school, but never really appreciated it until I was out of school. A handful of people close to me run, and they definitely serve as an inspiration on days when I feel like being lazy. On the other hand, the freedom and peace I feel when it’s just me and the road are an incredible motivator.”
What Song On Your Running Playlist Do You Have On Repeat Right Now?
“Hmm – on the treadmill, I’ve been known to hit repeat on the remix of Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good””
